From starting to smart
phone, the free messenger app, like kakaotalk, is very powerful and popular
app. Maybe we can’t image the world
where the free messenger apps don’t
exist. Especially, in Korea, the kakaotalk is the best famous free messenger and
the user’s number is about
30milion.
But, after Kakaotalk monitoring dispute, many
people immigrate from kakaotalk to telegram which is more security free
messenger app. It is reported that this trend will continue for a while.

Before comparing Telegram and Kakaotalk, I will explain why the alternative of Kakaotalk is "Telegram". Telegram's advantages which show developer's mind are 3 points.
First, Telegram have not been hacked since the Telegram was born. Even if the telegram host contest which was hacking encoded Telegram message(the prize money was 200 thousand dollars), any hackers didn't success the hacking.
Second, the Telegram is fast and provides unlimited service. Because Telegram is light in smartphone memory, the speedy is fast. Thanks to the unlimited service, users can send picture, video and general files(doc, zip, pdf etc..). And also the send's capacity is unlimited.
Third, the Telegram's message is compressed and save and the message is automatically deleted after some times. This functions raise the Telegram's security
Those great securities are Telegram's big advantages and the Telegram is good alternative Kakaotalk which is lack of security.

Until last
month, the first google store’s free app download
ranking was kakaotalk and the subscriber’s number was about 26.46milion in Korea. But from this month,
kakaotalk give the first google store’s free app download ranking to telegram and the subscriber’s number is consistently decreasing to about 26milion. By contrast,
the subscriber’s number of telegram
is increasing from milion to 1.7 milion. And this trend is continuous.
2. contents
Kakaotalk has many contents which are many kinds of emoticons, games or gifticons etc…Selling
this contents makes many money to kakaotalk and people really likes this contents.
But, the telegram is simple. This has only messenger function and basic emoticons. Also, you can
enjoy the apps in your computer.
3. Interface
Kakaotalk ‘s back ground color is yellow (if you didn’t change). You can check whether your friend read your message (when the number1 disappear, your friend read your message.)And other interface is the bottom pictures. In contrast, the telegram’s back ground color is blue. You can also check whether your friend read your message (when the ‘v’ is two, your friend read your message,) And other interface is the bottom picture.

4. My opinion
In my opinion, the telegram has many merits comparing to kakaotalk especially in great security which promote immigration from Kakaotalk to Telegram.
And the move from kakaotalk to telegram is significant and the trend will
continue for a bit. But the Kakaotalk’s contents are very powerful and many
people don’t care their security about their message. And in my experience, my surround people don't use Telegram and I can't talk to friends using telegram. Even if the users are gradually increasing, the number of users of Telegram is few. The Kakaotalk's network effect which is the effect that one user of a good or service has on value of that product to other people is very powerful. And many people feel that the emoticons are necessity in sending messages. So the movement is just
for a short while and the kakaotalk remain the first free messenger app in
Korea.
